THE MAIN HALL
The
Main Hall is a large room a oak beamed roof and a sprung maple wood floor.
It has a stage with curtains and table and chairs roe up to 150, though we would advise a maximum of 120 seated at tables.
The room is 9m by 15m and the stage is 5m deep with a 51/2m opening to the proscenium arch.
We must point out that at the moment the only access to the Main Hall is up a flight of stairs from the foyer, or up 7 steps of the fire escape from the rear car park. See the page on inclusive access to see how and when this will change. If this makes hiring the Tithe Barn unsuitable for you, we would very much appreciate if you could write to us explaining why, since this will strengthen our case for funding to provide inclusive access. THE MEETING ROOM (previously known as Room 4)
This
is a smaller room, 9m by 5m, on the ground floor with a hard floor and Cotswold Stone
walls. It has a capacity of 30 to 35.
THE LONG ROOM (previously known as Room 5)
This
room is also on the ground floor. is 31/2m by 71/4m,
and has a capacity of 2o to 25 people. Many people
use this room as a buffet since it is opposite the kitchen and has doors at
either end allowing a flow of people.
THE KITCHEN
We
have a modern domestic kitchen with some appliances, but they are not suitable
for catering for a large number. We do not offer china or
cutlery.
If you intend to employ professional caterers, they will normally insist on bringing their own cookers or food heating and warming equipment. Some caterers bring their own equipment in specially adapted vehicles that only require mains power. Access to the kitchen can be made through a large door to the front car park, and access to the main hall can be made via the fire escape from the rear car park.
THE BAR
A
bar is located in the foyer. The Licensee has sole rights for the sale of
alcohol and drinks and corkage at the Tithe Barn and you will need to come to an
agreement with him for your event. The licensee is Tom Madden and his

FURNITURE
In the Main Hall We have 29 tables 75cm square, 8 tables 152cm by 76cm and 6 tables 180cm by 75cm, and to go with these we have 114 grey polypropylene chairs.
In the Long Room we have 30 grey polypropylene chairs and 14 tables 68cm by 90cm, but these are shortly to be replaced by folding tables, the sizes of which will be posted when they arrive.
This gives currently a total of 144 chairs in the Barn.
LAVATORIES
As well as the usual offices we have a lavatory for the disabled on the ground floor.
