The Tithe Barn currently has five rooms for hire

THE MAIN HALL
The Main Hall is a large room with an oak beamed roof and the best sprung maple wood dance floor in the area.
It has a stage with curtains and table and chairs for a maximum capacity of 150, with a maximum capacity of 120 when seated at tables. (However, if the tables are cleared away after eating, the maximum capacity can increase to 150)
The room is 9m by 15m and the stage is 5m deep and 9m wide with a 5m opening to the proscenium arch.
There is a kitchen off the Main Hall with a shuttered servery.
For getting equipment into the Main Hall there is a fire escape from the Hall down 7 steps to the rear car park. Alternatively the lift can be used from the foyer.
THE MEETING ROOM
This is a smaller room, 9m by 5m, on the ground floor with a soft vinyl floor and Cotswold Stone walls. It has a capacity of 30 to 35.
THE SCHOOL ROOM (Ground floor room in the extension)
This room is on the ground floor in the new extension is similar size to the Meeting Room and is 7 1/2 m by 5 m. The room has soft vinyl flooring and has panoramic windows to the west. It has a capacity of 3o to 35 people.
THE NEW BAR (First floor room in the extension)
This room is on the first floor in the new extension is similar size to the Meeting Room and the School Room, and is 7 1/2 m by 5 m. The room has soft vinyl flooring and has panoramic windows to the west. It has a capacity of 3o to 35 people. The shuttered bar servery opens out on to this room. Hire of this room is included in the bar fee.
The Licensee has sole rights for the sale of alcohol and drinks and corkage at the Tithe Barn. After you have discussed your booking with the booking secretary you will need to come to an agreement with the Licensee for your event. You can contact the licensee, through the Contact Us page. There is a £50 charge for providing a bar payable to the booking secretary.
THE COMMITTEE ROOM
This room is on the ground floor on the left at the end of the corridor. It is carpeted and will make an ideal conference room for up to 15 people. It is 5.5 m by 3 m at its narrowest, and has opaque windows looking out onto the front car park.
THE GROUND FLOOR KITCHEN
We have a modern domestic kitchen xm by y m with some appliances, but they are not suitable for catering for a large number. We do not offer china or cutlery.
A wall space and power point is provided for a single caterer's trolley.
If you intend to employ professional caterers, they will normally insist on bringing their own cookers or food heating and warming equipment. Some caterers bring their own equipment in specially adapted vehicles that only require mains power. Access to the kitchen can be made through a large door to the front car park, and access to the main hall can be made via lift or the fire escape from the rear car park.
The outer door maximum gap is 1m and the clearance for the door to the corridor is 700mm wide
THE FIRST FLOOR KITCHEN
We have a new kitchen off the Main Hall with a servery hatch. The room is 4m by 3.3m with units down two sides, an oven, a hob, two sinks, an urn, and a microwave, and 2.4m space for two heated trolleys with separate power sockets. The limiting door width is 800mm. Please note gas fired equipment is not allowed in this kitchen.
Professional caterers who want to bring heated trolleys to the first floor kitchen are limited to trolleys no deeper (including handles and connections) to 800mm and no wider than 1350mm.
The lift size for equipment is 1350mm deep with a door width of 900mm
THE LONG ROOM
This room is no longer available to hire. This room is now converted into a store room for Barn use.

All users of the Village Hall are expected to leave the room as they found it, return furniture to where they found it and to sweep the floors of any rubbish before they leave.
LAVATORIES FOR THE DISABLED
As well as the usual offices off the foyer there are lavatories for the disabled on the ground floor and first floor of the new extension.
LAST ONE OUT OF THE BUILDING
If you are the last person to leave the building please note there is a new notice on the back of the door with respect to securing the building. To see the notice please click here. And now that we have a new lock that can be pushed shut behind you and locked without a key then please look here to see the exit procedure. Please do not turn any of the Main Hall lights out upstairs, but use the master switch in the foyer to the left of the fuse cupboard. Please use the master switch to turn the lights off when you leave, it has a red warning neon to show the lights are on upstairs. Please turn off all the lights in the extension as you come down stairs.
Accidents happen - Stuff breaks - its life! But please could you report anything that heeds attending to and we will do our best to sort it our as soon as possible. but we need to know it has happened, so please fill in the sheet on the clipboard on the desk in the foyer.
FLAMES, SMOKE and CANDLES
Please note we do not allow the operation of smoke machines, our fire alarm system can not cope. We do not allow live flames, candles, or tea lights in the Tithe Barn whether enclosed or not, this is for safety and insurance reasons. Battery operated flickering tea lights are fine.
We have let car park spaces to Capita plc during the working day, both at the front of the car park facing Cheltenham Road, and at the rear of the upper car park facing Tesco, to Capita plc. PLEASE TRY TO KEEP THESE SPACES CLEAR DURING THE BUILDING WORKS. We realise it will be difficult since we have lost some space at the rear, but would ask for your cooperation.
There are a number of caterers available in the area. See our Caterer's Page for a list of potential caterers. This is not a definitive list, but some that have worked at the Barn before.
We do not endorse a particular caterer and remember that any contract for the provision of catering will be between you and the caterer, not the Barn. Also, please remember to tell your caterer that the kitchen is not a commercial kitchen.

Please note that we do not endorse one particular supplier and any contract for the provision of services will be between you and the supplier, not the Barn. However, if you do use Fenfordbunting she will give a percentage to the Tithe Barn.
If you wanted a more modern venue that 15th Century agricultural, for an additional cost you could have the Hall decorated as an Eastern Paradise or in 18th Century Roco style. If so, then you can contact Oasis Events Ltd.
Please note that we do not endorse one particular event organiser and any contract for the provision of accommodation will be between you and the organiser, not the Barn. However, if you do use Oasis Events they will give a percentage to the Tithe Barn.
We are often asked for accommodation in the area. A short list of some B&Bs that have been used by previous hirers of the Tithe Barn can be found on our Accommodation Page.
Please note that we do not endorse a particular B&B and remember that any contract for the provision of accommodation will be between you and the accommodation, not the Barn.
If you are a B&B in the area and would like to be included on the list please email the webmaster the details you would like included.
Please remember that your booking is not pencilled into the diary until you have discussed it with the booking secretary, and your booking is not confirmed until you return a signed contract with the date, times and your contact details, along with a deposit. The deposit, if paid by cheque, is banked but will be returned after your event. The full fee is then due three weeks before the event. For more details see the How to Book page.
