AVAILABILITY
We are having to replace the dormer windows in the Main Hall because they are at
the end of their useful life. Since we are a listed building we are required by
TBC Conservation to replace then with inline roof lights. We can not do this
whilst hirers are using the Main Hall and so whilst we are pressing ahead with
obtaining funding in 2013 we are going to delay the installation until 2014. We
will however, have to
close
the Main Hall from 30 June 2014 to 30 August
2014.
Sorry if this messes up your plans, we hope you are able to find a suitable
alternative venue for use over those eight weeks.
FLYERS
IN THE BARN We
have taken a reasonably relaxed approach to people leaving flyers in the Barn
foyer and notice boards. However, there have been incidences recently of over
posting and flyers being taken down. Please it shouldn't be necessary to remind
people to respect other rights to advertise their activities at the Barn. We are
going to provide more space for advertising in the re-ordered foyer, but we
might have to consider not allowing flyers if the event is not at the Barn or
even charging to leave flyers. Comments welcome to the

Like old buildings? Care about the built heritage of Bishop's Cleeve? Would you like to help keep the Barn
in good repair? Do you love old buildings?
Do you have some basic experience of
buildings? We need someone who will
manage the maintenance, meet with local tradesmen to show then what needs to be
done, and keep the maintenance plan up to date. We are not necessarily looking
for someone to do DIY, but we are looking for someone to give no more than a
couple of hours per week on average and to take responsibility, along with the
management committee, for the maintenance of the Barn. If you are interested
please contact the
Chair of Trustees.
